Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right along side helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.
Have you ever entered a season of prayer that became tears and sighs? A time when the pain you were experiencing only allowed moaning and deep heartache? The words could not come. No matter how hard you tried to speak your needs nothing could be voiced. It doesn’t matter that we can’t speak our needs. It doesn’t matter that our thoughts are so jumbled that we are unable to make sense. It doesn’t matter because Gods Holy Spirit intercedes in those moments. He is able to take our sighs, groanings and tears and convert them into prayers for the Father. God’s Holy Spirit steps in for us. He knows how to get God’s attention for us. He is able to transform our utterance into clear and concise petitions. The Holy Spirit understands our moments of pain, fear and sorrow. He understands the times words will not form. It doesn’t matter—He understands. Praying this day we give our aching, sighing speechless prayers to God’s Holy Spirit so they can be presented to our Heavenly Father.
