May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
"In the beginning . . . ."
These 3 words begin Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1. Maybe it’s a fitting way to start a new year. In the beginning of 2021 we should thank God for our blessings He has already provided and thank Him for the hope of new blessings, new opportunities, new joys and the new mercies to come. In the beginning of 2121 we have the opportunity to grow closer to Him. We have the opportunity to trust in Him more. Today, this first day of a new year we need to see His hand in our lives, to build our faith recalling His answered prayers. We have peace when we allow Him to hold us in His hands. In Genesis He created the heavens and earth. In John the Word was in the beginning, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The word became flesh and dwelt with us. That same God, in the Person of His Holy Spirit is within us as we step into 2121. Praying this day we experience 2121 in power, in peace, in joy and in hope of our God.
