Don't just pretend to love others, really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

Make believe and pretending were fun when we were children. But as adults it can bring trouble and real disappointments. It’s easy sometimes to pretend we care. But pretending never helps anyone. True feelings always surface in time. Pretending something is right and okay gets many of us in over our heads. Life should be simple–hate what’s wrong and hold on to what’s right. It’s the pretending that blurs the lines. If we love, really loved, as Jesus loved the fake pretentious acts would fall away. Praying this day we love as Christ loved, truly and simply without schemes or pretending.
