Psalm 94:19

God is able to comfort. Even in this day of multitude of anxieties.  The definition of ‘multitude’ is the state of many. It’s fair to say we all have a multitude of anxieties.  Many, many anxieties. Situations surround us. Situations at home, at work, with family, with friends, with health—with life in general. The thought that can comfort us is God is always aware of every situation we face.  We face nothing alone unless we want to. Many try to overcome anxiety alone. As believers we know we have the strength given by God’s Holy Spirit.  We know and accept our own helplessness. Believers still become anxious. That’s our human nature. Yet, as believers we do not have to remain in our human nature because we are promised the nature of Christ. It’s not always easy to put aside our human nature but it is possible. God comforts and soothes the troubled soul.  Delight comes with dependence on Him. Praying this day we allow Jesus to overcome our multitude of anxieties.
