For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
God is so poised to forgive and grant mercy to everyone. It’s up to us to ask and receive. We have to truly want forgiveness. Part of our receiving forgiveness is repentance. That’s where many do not truly want forgiveness for giving up our sin seems to bring discomfort to our lifestyles. We try to repent, but fail. Why? We try on our own. We don’t include God to help. We rely on our own strength and fail miserably because of our weakness. When we depend on God’s strength repentance is possible. Asking for His strength daily enables us to pursue real repentance. Praying this day we not only pray for abundance of forgiveness and mercy, but also His strength.
