Psalm 61:2

Each of us become overwhelmed at times. We want to be strong.  We want to be bold. We want to be in control. Yet, there are times when all those desires slip away. We feel weak. There are those moments filled with fear. Our lives seem to be unraveling.  In the Middle East’s landscape the hills have caves and rocks. These were and are to this day used as safe hideaways. They provide protection from the elements and enemies. This picturesque  verse reminds us our safe hideaway is in the Rock, the Solid Rock.  Christ is more powerful than anything troubling us. He is our strength when we are weak. He is our courage when we fear. He is our rock when our lives feel like shattered pebbles. His hand is outstretched wanting to lead us to a higher plain. Praying this day we take His hand and climb to safety.
