May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your purpose.

This is a rich blessing to extend.  Sometimes our heart’s desire may not be useful in our true purpose.  Our thoughts of our purpose in life and God’s purpose for our lives may not be the same.  Each of have a purpose. One established by God. We often derail God’s plan with our own. Our heart’s desire may become more selfish or self serving.  We often question or doubt God’s purpose for our lives. We have difficulty discerning His will. It’s not easy. We would love if God would simply drop a note from heaven with directions for us. I once heard a pastor say that the thing that comes easiest for us to do and brings joy is tied into our purpose for God’s kingdom building.  In accordance with that he said we each have a dream.  The two are factors in our purpose. The two reveal the deepest desire of our heart. We tend to lose sight of our dreams by getting tangled in life’s struggles or we allow others to dissuade us. Many of us, self included, need a time out to reflect on our dreams and gifts. A moment of redirection to rekindle the fire placed in our hearts by God. Praying this day we rediscover His purpose and desire asking God’s Holy Spirit to fulfill it for Him.
