Psalm 145:14

We’ve all seen the commercial where an elderly woman calls out from the floor, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.”  We’ve all had moments of emotional “falls” where we feel like we can’t get up. We’re bowed down and stooped over with the weight of our troubles and concerns. We don’t feel like we can get up.  We try, but just can’t quite make it on our own. Well, we ,too, have an emergency alert system. It’s called ‘prayer.’ We can call for help in any situation we face.  God wants not only to help us up but He also wants to uphold us, keep us up.  His steady arm is held out to strengthen us. His loving arm is ready to carry us.  He knows the burdens we carry. He so wants us to give them to Him. Sometimes we are so stooped over it’s hard to look up for help. We just need to get a glimpse of His open arms. He will take us in. He will lift us up. A tiny nod is all He needs from us and He will raise us up.  Praying this day we accept His outstretched hand of love and strength.
