Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious---the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

How less stressed would we be if we focused on the good and not the bad?  We are overwhelmed with bad news. Covid 19, conflict, uncertainty,  politics and more seem to capture our every thought. What if we took the time to see the positive in people, situarions and things? What if we enjoyed a sunrise or sunset? What if we saw the joy in a child’s laugh? What if we recognized our fellow man stepping up and lending a helping hand? What if we celebrated a new baby, an anniversary, a new graduate, a new bride and groom or a playful puppy? What would happen if we focused on the truth of God’s love and mercy? What if we really considered the cost of our forgiveness? There are good things to fill our thoughts and minds with today. Maybe we need to step away from the news of the TV, radio,  internet and papers and immerse our selves in the good news of the gospel.  Maybe, just maybe we could focus on things above and disengage from the distractions that perpetuate anxiety and fear. Praying this day we think on those things that remind us of God’s blessings and grace.
