Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.

The largest theft by the enemy is accomplished by worry.  The enemy uses worry and “what ifs” to steal our peace and joy. Worry hinders our strength. Worry traps our thoughts. It robs us of our peace and steals our faith piece by piece. Jesus knows we have troubles and concerns. He told us that in this world we would have troubles, but the very next words from Him are, but “don’t despair, I have overcome the world.”  He doesn’t tell us not to have concrrns, but to remember not to focus on tomorrow’s concerns today. Our focus should be on today’s situations. Our prayers should be for strength for today. Our regrets of the past and worries about the future rob us of our present, our todays. Praying this day we lean on Christ who holds the day in His hands and has overcome the world.
