So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."
Jesus was crucified, buried and rose again. So now what’s God’s plan? It’s very simple–we are commissioned to continue His work. We are sent to share the good news of the sacrifice of Calvary. We are to share the good news our sins have been forgiven. We are to share the good news we have been given His Holy Spirit. Given to carry out our mission. God’s work didn’t end at the cross or buried in the grave. He left the tomb alive to enter our hearts. Our hearts should feel the compassion for the lost. We are to become the hands of the living Christ. Praying this day we become the Easter people, resurrected from our dead ways to be who we are called to be.
