There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.
Today, Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember those brave men and women who gave their lives for the freedoms we have. Their cause was greater than themselves. They fought for beliefs they held dear in their hearts. They fought for a country that offered a better way of life. They accepted the challenge knowing what the sacrifice could be. Jesus also accepted the challenge knowing the sacrifice was His to bear. No greater love is known than someone willingly and freely giving their life for another. Praying this day we thank God for the life of Christ and the thousands and thousands of lives given for our freedoms.
