Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord, and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.
We are His people. He waits for our return from our wanderings. We do wander. We feel like we are capable of handling things on our own. We can’t. We wander deciding we know what’s best for us. We don’t. We wander following others in our confusion. We remain lost. God never wanders. He remains waiting for our return. He waits with open arms ready to restore our broken hearts and dreams. He is prepared to heal our hearts and fill them with a desire for Him. That deep longing felt is a longing for Him. The void is only filled when we return to Him. Praying this day we return to Him with our whole heart.
