Yes, everything is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord.
It’s so easy to get caught up in material things–cars, homes, clothing, even cell phones. We spend money, time and energy to acquire more and better. What if all these things were taken from us? What would we have left? The pandemic if nothing else has caused us to refocus on many things. We’ve come to realize the importance of family, friends and health. Even if we should lose family, friends and health we remain in our Savior’s presence and arms. This knowledge is eternal comfort. His word reminds us things will pass away, but His love is eternal. His salvation is offered to all. His grace surpasses every earthly need. The values of Christ surround us. Praying this day Christ, our Savior, is our greatest desire.
