And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?

Ouch! We often do see the faults and shortcomings of others overlooking our own. We’re quick to judge, aren’t we? Looking inward seems difficult. Many times the very things that frustrates us in others are the very faults we have. They’re traits we don’t want to admit we have. Jesus in His kind way is reminding us to look at ourselves before we condemn others. Everyone has faults. Everyone sins. Even us. We need to spend more time correcting our issues. If we’re doing that we won’t have as much time focusing on specks in the eyes of our family and friends. Praying this day we work on the planks in our own eyes.
