For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
During this time of pandemic many of us feel heavy darkness surrounding our lives. It seems there is no end. We grieve for the normalcy we once knew. We’re not sure we have a lamp within us to be lit. Be assured we do. God’s Holy Spirit dwells within us. That spark never extinguishes. We might cover it and our many circumstances might hide it, but it remains. God is able to cause the spark to flare into a bright guiding flame. His Holy Spirit is able to shed His Light into our darkest corner. No longer do we need to fear the darkness of despair. He is able to light the paths we walk so we do not slip. He is able to ignite hope for our doubts. Christ has made the way for God’s radiance to shine in our darkness. Praying this day God fans the flame of love, hope and peace in our hearts.
