For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
We cannot claim credit for our salvation. We cannot earn it. We cannot buy it. It is a gift from God. It is undeserved. It is a force as well as a favor. This gift came wrapped in swaddling cloths in a manger and was opened on the blood stained cross of Calvary. This gift was prepared at the beginning of time and is offered to every man, woman and child. We choose when we open this gift. We choose whether or not to open His gift of grace. Bragging rights are God’s alone, not ours. He has offered this to us freely. This gift is eternal. The gift is yours. Praying this day we accept God’s gift of grace with faith.
