"I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
Jesus declared that He is the Light. His Light continues to shine through His Holy Spirit. That same Light dwells in us. We can think of it as spiritual flashlight. As we walk through the darkness of the world the Holy Spirit will reveal the gloom, evil, sin, obscurity, ignorance and moral depravity the enemy has placed before us. God does not want us to fall but to see the path very clearly. His desire is for our steps to be sure and steady as we travel through the minefields of life. His Light reveals joy, redemption, wisdom, peace, righteousness and love. Will there be times we stump our toe in the shadows? We will. But His Light guides us back. We do not have to abide or stay in darkness. His Light never burns out. It is never turned off. He calls us to be candles in the darkness. No matter how small the flame, it pierces darkness. Pray this day we shine our light in our dark world.
