2 Timothy 1:7 NLT

Power, love and self-discipline are strong attributes. Power is often associated with position. Do you ever wonder what position you hold in God’s eye? He makes it clear for us. We are joint heirs with Christ, the children of the Living God and we are holy in His sight.  We are loved. So much that He was willing to give His Son’s life for ours. No greater love than one who lies His life down for another.  That ‘another’ is you and me.  Self-discipline isn’t always easy. We’re tempted almost daily. We no longer have to be timid or afraid of what we face. God’s own Holy Spirit is within us. He will guide us. He provides self-control, strength and wisdom. We can make good choices. We can overcome temptation, fear and doubt. He gives us His power to do so. We are His and He is ours. God’s gifts are irrevocable. They are ours forever. Praying this day we choose power, love and self-discipline, all gifts from our loving God.
