God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength.
Aren’t there times you feel God thinks your stronger than you are? Some of the tests we go through seem really, really beyond what we can stand. I think our problem is we try to see the end of the test before we face the tasks of our tests. Tests are building blocks. Not only of our endurance, but building blocks of our faith. My Dad’s favorite song was “One Day At A Time” by Christy Lane. Our time is divided into days–24 hour periods. That’s really all we can handle. There’s nothing we can change about the past and the future may not be ours to hold. Today is what we have. We need only muster up the strength for today. And today may be harder than we expected. God steps in with His strength for us on the building blocks of our faith. Think of the times God has seen you through a difficult test. He came through for you then and He will continue to do so. Our strength is reinforced by our depending on Him. We need to let go of the premise it’s all up to us. It’s up to us AND God. With Him there is no test we cannot pass. God is faithful. He has our back when our backs are up against the wall. Praying this day we use God’s strength to fortify our own.
